Fasteners:

• F2: Brass Countersunk Finishing Washers
  Give a neat appearance and larger bearing surface to the screw. Particularly useful for seats, finishing work and holding fabric (e.g. canvas) to a surface. Screw size: #6 (F2a); #8 (F2b); and #10 (F2c) Note: Stainless Steel is available with minimum order of 100 pcs. Silicon bronze is not available.


• F3: Silicone Bronze Carriage Bolts
  Flat washer and hex nut included. Often used in strip canoes to hang seats, thwarts and yokes. Lengths: 4" (diameter 3/16") These bolts are full thread with a round head – discount pricing available – Item F3. Also available are black Protective Vinyl Caps that fit tightly to the threaded ends of the bolt. (Item F3caps).


• F4: Silicone Bronze Ring Nails
  The annular threads of these boat nails are designed to lock with wood fibres to prevent "pop" or loosening under the strain and vibration caused by motors. Various lengths and gauges are available from Ύ” to 1-1-1/2” and other sizes may be available (Items F4a to F4e).


• F5: Brass Canoe Tacks
  Easily clenched without leaving hammer marks. A long lasting, quality fastener. Tacks are available in lengths of 5/8” (Item F5a) and 7/8” (Item F5b).


• F7: Copper Tacks
  Copper cut tacks are used in various canvas jobs including canoe and deck work as an alternative to staples. Available in the following sizes:
  3/8” (Item F12a1);
  1/2” (Item F12a2);
  5/8” (Item F12b1);
  7/8” (Item F12b2);
  3/4” (Item F12c2).


• Copper Rivets (Item F5071) and Copper Roves (Item 5072)
  Our copper rivets are square cut with a flat head, leaving the head flush with the planking thereby facilitating sanding and finishing. Please refer to our price list for the correct copper rove that will perfectly match your rivet size. Please note the your rivets should be at least Ό” longer than the thicknesses of the pieces to be joined.


• F9: Stainless Steel Tee Nuts
  Used to provide a strong and secure fastener when strength is required. Designed to be accessed into wood. Size Ό-20 (Item F9a), 5/16-18 (Item F9b) and 3/8-16 (Item F9c).


• F10: Brass Stainless Steel Threaded Rod
  Available in a variety of length and diameters. Non-threaded rod is also available.


• F11: Copper Clout Nails
  These flat head, square cut nails tapering to a sharp point are excellent in fastening ribs to planking and reduce the hammer marks in clenching that often occur when using a common wire nail as well as having better holding capacity. Available in the following sizes: 1” (F11a); 1-1/4” (F11b) and 1-1/2” (F11c).


• F13: Monel/Stainless Staples
  Here's a secret - use these non-corrosive staples instead of tacks for canvas jobs. It's faster, more economical and you save your thumbs! Available lengths are 3/8” (Item F13a) and 9/16” (Item F13b). One box contains 1000 staples.


• F20: Easy-Touch Staple Remover
  Removes tacks & staples in a jiffy, facilitates lifting from the smallest to the long leg staples instead of knocking them out. Easy to grip handle (Item F20).


• F14: Common Copper Nail
  Common copper nail has a smooth, plain shank regular size head designed for all-purpose use, pleasing to the eye. In some cases where the nail is to be clenched, then a copper clout nail is recommended. Available in various lengths and gauges – see Item F14 in our Price List for lengths starting at Ύ” to 1-3/4”.


• F14b: Brass Brad-Finishing Nails
  Recommended in deck fastening, easily driven and countersunk. Available in various lengths ½” to 1-1/2” lengths. See Item F14b in our Price List for details and other sizes may be available.


• F15: Brass and Silicone Bronze Wood Screws
  Tapered wood screws with a “Robertson” or “Square” head. Tapered shanks make the screws easier to work with, back out and re-use and the “Robertson” head is popular with boat builders as it provides a more solid drive than does a slot or Phillips drive. Brass is surprisingly strong but is a soft metal requiring a pilot hole and provides traditional, classic look. Silicone bronze is often the material of choice for boatbuilding as it takes on nice complimentary look to cedar and other woods and provide excellent corrosion resistance. See Item F15 in the price sheet for available lengths and gauges.


• Oval Head Brass and Chrome Plated Wood Screws
  We’ve included these screws primarily for fastening our brass, stainless and aluminum half oval and half round keel/stem molding (see Item O6a). We also keep a selected stock of brass/chrome plate oval head screws for fittings. See Items F16 & F17 in our Price List for available lengths and gauges.


• F19: Brass and Silicone Bronze Machine Screws
  Recommended in many applications such as fastening skegs, keels, rudder fittings including oar sockets, bollards and so on. Machine screws come with washers and nuts and are available in round slot or flat slot heads. Please see Item F19 in our Price List for availability and prices.

Windshield Brackets

• Windshield Brackets
  Classic hand-crafted windshield brackets (centre frame with two side brakets) in polished bronze or chrome plate, set at 60 degrees at centre bracket, centre bracket height 9" and side bracket height 3-1/4". Easily installed on flat or curved surfaces with two fastener holes each for centre and side brackets you simply take a paper pattern and then have your local glass supplier cut two Ό” laminated glass pieces and request that they bevel the edges and your ready to install. • O3d: Windshield Insulation Gasket
  Flexible black windshield weather gasket for use in item 03 as well as other windshield applications. Provides a nice finished look to the deck, comliments the windshield and stops water and vibration.
• O3e: Windshield End brackets
  Angled (two brackets) in polished brass or chrome plate, ideal for a single windshield or for deck mounting twin windshields. Size: base 2-3/4" x 1-5/8", vertical height 1".
